Merino Bakery are seeking a skillful creative baker who strives to provide high quality baked items, while getting along with team members in an efficient and professional manner.
Baker responsibilities:
· Demonstrate excellence in recipes design and execution with the ability to improve existing recipes where needed.
· Be organised, decisive, attentive, and possess a strong understanding of baking techniques.
· Measuring and combining ingredients while using mixers, blender, heat sources and other baking equipment.
· Perform quality checks on ingredients and finished products.
· Cleaning workstations and equipment while testing ingredients to ensure each item meet food safety standards and quality control requirements.
Baker requirements:
· High school diploma or equivalent.
· Strong communication, time management, and planning skills.
· Attention to detail.
· Basic math
· Willingness to work independently or with other team members.
· Flexibility to work late night into early morning, weekend and public holidays.
· Physical ability to work within a hot, hectic environment, standing for long periods of time, and lifting heavy items.
