Job description:

We are seeking a skilled Pastry Cook to join our bakery kitchen team.Requirements:Relevant Pastry Cook qualification with :Croissants Cakes Pastries High standards of quality and consistencyAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment .

Duties & Responsibilities

Prepare, bake, and present a variety of pastries, cakes, desserts, breads, and viennoiserie to a high standard
Follow established recipes and procedures while maintaining consistency and quality
Measure, weigh, and mix ingredients accurately according to production requirements
Prepare fillings, creams, icings, glazes, and decorative elements
Monitor baking processes and adjust oven temperatures and baking times as required
Assist with menu planning and development of new pastry and dessert items
Ensure all food preparation complies with Food Safety, HACCP, and hygiene standards
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe pastry section, including equipment and work areas
Manage stock rotation, minimise waste, and assist with ordering ingredients and supplies
Work efficiently to meet daily production schedules and service demands
Collaborate with chefs and kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations
Follow workplace health and safety policies at all times
Skills & Experience Required

Minimum 2–3 years’ relevant experience as a Pastry Cook
Relevant qualification such as Certificate III in Patisserie or equivalent (or overseas equivalent with experience)
Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, baking methods, and dessert presentation
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
Good organisational and time-management skills
Understanding of Australian food safety and hygiene standards
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
